THE WORLD RULES!
Monday, March 31, 2008 @ jonas brothers
Sad but true i am beginning to lose interest to fall out boy but not completely. I'm now a crazed fan for the jonas brothers. :) Their songs rock.

The Band:

Kevin, 20 - romantic one
Joe, 18 - funny one
Nick, 15 - sensitive one

and all so cute!! :)

The Jonas Brothers is an American pop-rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey made up of three brothers, Joseph, Nicholas, and Kevin Jonas. All three brothers attended Eastern Christian High School in North Haledon, New Jersey. They have released two albums - It's About Time in 2006, and Jonas Brothers in 2007.

After shortly being without a label, the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 2007. Around the same time, brothers began appearing in commercials for Baby Bottle Pops, singing the jingle. On March 24 two additional songs on two different albums were released: "Kids of the Future" from the Meet the Robinsons soundtrack (Based on Kim Wilde's "Kids in America") and "I Wanna Be like You" from DisneyMania 5.

Their self-titled second album, Jonas Brothers, was released on August 7, 2007. It reached number five on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in its first week. Two singles with music videos were also released around this time - "Hold On" two weeks before and "SOS" just after the release of the album.

In August, the Jonas Brothers made several appearances on television. On August 17, they guest-starred in an episode of the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana titled "Me and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas and Mr. Jonas". They also performed We Got the Party withMiley Cyrus in the episode. On August 24, the Jonas Brothers performed two songs at the Miss Teen USA contest. The following day, the closing ceremonies of the Disney Channel Games was aired, featuring a performance from the Jonas Brothers. The games were taped on April 272007 in Orlando, Florida.August 26, the Jonas Brothers co-presented an award with Miley Cyrus at the Teen Choice Awards. They also performed at the American Music Awards on November 18,2007 performing the song "SOS".

On November 22,2007 , the brothers appeared in the 81st annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. For their final performance of 2007 the three brothers performed their singles "Hold On" and "SOS" at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve

Future projects

Because of their major success with Disney and Hollywood Records, Disney is now set to create another one of their signature breakout stars. Disney has signed the brothers to a concert special, movie (Camp Rock, premieres June 2008), and TV Series. The fictional television series entitled J.O.N.A.S! (Junior Operatives Networking As Spies) starring the trio as a group of government hired spies was filmed, and is expected to debut on the Disney Channel in 2008. Another Disney Channel Original Series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream is set to premiere in spring 2008. It will follow the Jonas Brothers as they went on their Look Me In The Eyes Tour.

Kevin Jonas confirmed on a radio show on March 13, 2008 that the untitled third album will be released on August 12, 2008

Current members

A notable Joe appearance was at the AMAs when he fell through a glass window at the beginning of the song S.O.S. In January of 2008 he fell during a concert and hit his head. He was rushed to a local hospital and received a few stitches.

Kevin, Joe, and Nick also have a younger brother, Franklin "Frankie" Nathaniel Jonas, also known as the "Bonus Jonas" and "Frank the Tank". He feels that joining the Jonas Brothers is something that he doesn't want to do.

What kind of guy are you looking for? The sensitive poetic type? The fun-loving jokester? The super-serious guy? We've got them all here. Kevin, 18, Joseph, 16, and Nicholas, 13, make up the Jonas Brothers — definitely not just some Hanson-type boy band. With their album, It's About Time, just released and a tour on the way, you better scoop them up while you can.

So how did you guys get into this?
Nick (lead vocals and keyboard/percussion): It all started with me doing some Broadway shows and auditioning for shows, and I started recording music after that. I was working on a solo project at the beginning. But then I wrote a song with my brothers, and [the record company] heard that song and they signed all three of us. We started making a group record ... and started touring, it all came together.

Did you always want to pursue music?
Kevin (guitar and backing vocals): We always thought about it.
Nick: Yeah, we thought about it, like, "Yeah, it'd be cool to be in a band together." I always had the dream of being a professional musician — I always wanted to be in music — but when we wrote that song together, we realized it could go somewhere.

So you guys just got off a tour with Aly and AJ, what was that like?
Joseph (lead vocals and keyboard/percussion): It was really fun; we were out there for two and a half months.
Kevin: We just got back, and we're ready to go back on. All I need is to sleep one night in my own bed and then I'm like, "Yeah, I'm ready to leave." We definitely come home and get to spend some family time together.

Do you have any fun fan stories from the tour?
Kevin: We were signing autographs and there was this one girl and she just started crying, and we didn't know what to do. So we just sort of waved and she was crying even more — we felt so bad, we didn't know what to do.
Nick: She just freaked out; she was shaking. It was pretty crazy.
Joseph: We've had underwear thrown onstage.
Nick: What are you talking about? No, we didn't.
Kevin: Uhh, yes we did.
Nick: Well, I had lip gloss thrown at my guitar, my brand-new guitar ... I was so mad.
Kevin: We've also had fans making really cool fan books for us, and a lot of gifts, I mean the fans are so awesome ... and they work on these really cool posters. One girl made them out of that cereal box, you know, with the Tiger, "They're grrreat!"?
Nick: Frosted Flakes.
Kevin: Yeah, it was intense, she was like, "It took me forever."

Did you guys get a break during the tour? What do you do when you have time off?
Kevin: We really hadn't had a break until the other day, and I was like, "I'm going to go to the mall to get out of the house. Do you want to come, Joe?" And he was like, "No! I'm gonna stay here," like amazed that he didn't have to go do something.
Nick: I played golf. I shot 15 over par — I was so mad at myself. But it was the first time I've gone in three months — I usually play two to three times a week.

Tell me about your new album, It's About Time.
Joseph: We actually wrote seven out of the eleven songs. We're really happy about the songs we got to write on the album, and we love the songs we didn't write.
Kevin: We're absolutely blessed to have the songs that are on there. A bunch of other artists worked on our record, which is really cool; we got to work with some really great people. We're just really happy we got to make the record we wanted to.
Nick: We've been waiting for the album to come out for two and a half years now, like really actually waiting.
Kevin: And two and a half years doesn't seem like a long time, but we're still young so that feels like a really long time.
Nick: Yeah, I was 11 when we started with this, and now I'm 13.

What was it like writing the album?
Joseph: We wrote 120 songs for the record.
Kevin: Seriously? No....
Joseph: Yeah, we wrote 120.
Kevin: Well, we demo'd almost 60; we wrote so many songs for the record.
Nick: But we don't sit there and think about what people want to hear, we just write about something because we want to, like when we wrote the song Mandy, we knew we needed an upbeat song for the record, but we didn't think about [what's going to be popular], we just wrote it, because it was important to us.

How do the three of you decide on a song? Do you write them together, or do you all go your separate ways?
Nick: I always walk away from them, because they're just ... (he sighs and everyone laughs)
Kevin: No, we all work together, but that is something we fight about sometimes, not really anymore, but we went through that period about halfway through the album.
Joseph: I would just get upset sometimes, because I felt like every song wasn't there yet.
Nick: Like with the song Mandy, there's this part (sings) "and all those boy bands" that's my line. I wrote it and ...
Joseph: ... And we didn't like it, and we were like "Dude, that's so stupid."
Nick: And now it's the one line of the song the whole crowd sings.
Joseph: And there's this line about blondes ...
Nick: Yeah, Kevin has this ability, like we'll just put something in his ear and it'll come out of his mouth....
Joseph: Like it'll process properly out of his mouth and comes out perfectly with a rhyme scheme and everything.

So are songs the only thing you guys fight over?
Joseph: We've actually fought over girls before.
Kevin: Because the girls we like are in between our ages, so you know....
Nick: I actually had a problem with my little brother, Frankie. You know Miley Cyrus from Hanna Montana, right?
Well, I was saying that I thought she was cute and he was like "What!" and ran over and started trying to beat me up.
Kevin: And, he's 5.
Joseph: He has a picture of her on his wall with a heart around her face.

All right, so while we're talking about girls ... any girlfriends?
Joseph: Oh, man ...

Sorry, but ym.com readers will want to know!
Kevin: No, no, no, it's okay. You can ask. We like girls (everyone laughs). So ... we are all single.
Joseph: (smiles) We have friends that are girls ...

Well, what do you look for in a girl to date?
Nick: She has to be kinda quiet, like a serious person — totally driven. People say I'm competitive, but I consider myself to be very driven.
Kevin: Someone that's a good listener.
Joseph: Someone that's a world wrestler, who can lift up cars ... she has to have huuuuge muscles (laughs).

Okay, last question, what's your ideal date?
Joseph: I had an ideal date, and it was on a beach. That was pretty awesome.
Kevin: I love bringing a girl to New York, because, you know, we're at home here.
Nick: So, I was in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and that was "the spot." I always hear stories that people go on their first date there and then after they get married, they plan to bring their kids there, so it's a good tradition, I dunno....
Joseph: So on the first date you can bring a girl there and be like, well, we're gonna get married ... ha-ha.

So, any parting words for your fans?
Kevin: Thanks for buying our record, and check out our Web site. We're planning another tour, so once we figure that out, come out and see us!
