THE WORLD RULES!
Saturday, May 17, 2008 @ reader's digest
I was reading reader's digest yesterday and I found an article that says that it can help diabetic patients to stop all the finger pricking. you know? when they take blood on their finger. here's the article

24/7 BLOOD SUGAR TEST.
Blood sugar monitoring in an easy wristwatch device.

Diabetics may be able to say goodbye to finger-picking when checking blood sugar. New monitors, like the one being developed by Gerard Cote at Texas A&M, require no blood and offer more certainty. In Cote ’s model, a sheath of tiny fluorescent particles, smaller than a strand of human hair, is inserted into a diabetic patient’s wrist. The sheath is invisible, but when you shine a small laser on it, it glows and changes colors in response to deviations in blood sugar. A wristwatch-like device provides a digital readout of glucose levels and alerts the person to dangerous dips or spikes. Houston-based BioTex is also developing a model using similar technology.

*It will be available in 5 years.

When I saw the title, I immediately thought of Nick Jonas. Why? I guess you guys know. but for those of you who don't. He has diabetes Type 1. He actually wrote a song that describes what he's going through with the diabetes and stuff. the title was: "A Little Bit Longer (You Don't Even Know) One time when he performed it on stage he actually cried when his brothers came out. Trust me. It bring some tears in your eyes when you here this. Here's some lyrics:

Got the news today
But they said i had to stay
A little bit longer and i'd be fine
When i thought it'd all be done
When I thought it'd all been said
A little bit longer and I'll be fine.
But you don't know what you got 'til it's gone
And you don't know what it's like to feel so low
And every time you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know, know, know.
You don't even know

He uses Omnipod to regulate the rate of something. I dont really know that much about diabetes but I am open to charities finding a cure for diabetes. I support them :) but I dont really know anyone in my family who has diabetes. just Nick Jonas. and he is far from being my family. but miracles happen. ( i hope. ) haha :))

Here's Nick Jonas' confessing about his diabetes:

Over to American Idol. This is the First ever MAN-TO-MAN duel over the prestigious title of being the next American Idol. Told you in the last post it's only between the two davids. I looove them both. (: I was actually surprised that Cook has no intentions on auditioning in the first place. His brother should be really acknowledge if he wins. IF is a big word k? haha :)) so off to archuleta. I heard that he was a contestant in "America's Got Talent" When he was about 12. Wow Only 5 years ago. If he wins, Jordin Sparks wouldnt be the only underage American Idol. =))) haha. Again. IF being the crucial word.
